Home.

Home.
One word...One place...
So many meanings...
A place where memories are made, families thrive, joy outlasts, and tears are shed...
A place where you can be yourself, where you learn little lessons, and tackle big moments...
A place where your little self becomes your grown-up self, but a place where you never forget how to be your little-girl self...
A place where pictures are taken, and moments are framed, where you learn how to forgive, and truly how to love...
A place where you share a cup of tea, enjoy meals around the table, and sit in rocking chairs for hours at a time...
A place where big decisions were made, and life paths were decided, a place where you learned to put your faith in the One who knows most of all...
And a place that becomes a reminder that this really isn't our home at all...
A place that has become more than a place...but a piece of who you are and who you want to be...
I am forever thankful for my "home."
And the blessing of one word, one place, that is now becoming more than a home, but a piece of who I will always be...

Autumn Tea Parites

There are not many things better than an autumn tea party and brunch with 14 of your best girlfriends.

I love the simple decorations and details that made this afternoon such a treat and one of my favorites...happened to fall on my half birthday, which was the best way to celebrate November 12th and 22 1/2 years of life. #takealittletimefortea

Breakfast for Dinner

And sometimes your dad makes French Toast, turkey sausage, eggs, and grits...

While your mom fills the house with piano music...

And you eat an amazing breakfast...for dinner.

Mornings at Home

Eating breakfast and drinking hot tea at home will be something I think I will always treasure. There's something about fresh cut fruit, eggs made with coconut oil in an iron skillet, and mom's famous tea made with real tea leaves and lavender.

It's hard to compare to anywhere especially when you add the amazing front porch and summertime air.

Honk If You Love Seniors

Sending this one off to her senior year of high school...it's truly hard to believe.

We made a little trip to Kroger the night before to get things for breakfasts and lunches -- we had the windows down and were listening to our favorite summer playlist.

It's moments like this that I wish I could frame and remember forever.

I asked her if she had her backpack packed and she laughed and said, "With WHAT?!"
Always keeping us laughing.

Her and her best friend Hannah dressed up in their neon and welcomed in the elementary and middle school students. A tradition at CAL...seems like a lifetime ago that I was in their shoes. Love both of them and am excited for the year ahead.

Summer Days

Sunkissed cheeks
Light blue skies
Bright pink watermelon
And sunshine galore

Summer, please never end.

Late Nights

Moments to Frame
Memories to make
Movies to watch
And little sisters to love

These are what summer nights are made of...

A Birthday on the Beach

My 22nd birthday happened to fall during the week of finals. It was on a Tuesday and my friends and I finished our final Student Teaching presentations on Monday! So we decided to hop in the car at 6:00 am on Tuesday morning and spend a day on the beach. We got to the beach around 10:30 and stayed till about 4:30. It was an amazing day as we played in the ocean and got burnt to a crisp. The sunshine reflecting on the water made all of our faces a little red, but who else can say they got a tan during finals week?!

Harper and Abbi are such sweet friends, and I could not have made it through education without them. It was such a fun day that I will always treasure the memories made. As we were leaving, a lady asked if we were cheerleaders down for a cheerleading competition. A few days out from college graduation, we'll take it. :)

Spring Fever in February

A blue sky, sunny day in February makes you feel like you can conquer the world. With sun beams everywhere you turn and the smell of the fresh air inviting you to spend the entire day outside, it was the epitome of a 'perfect day.'

After being cooped up all winter, a Saturday full of sunshine was the perfect day to grab a good book, put on some summer shoes and enjoy the blue sky background and sun on your face.

Stayed until the sun set and the day was coming to a close...spring fever is in full swing a little early this year...can't wait for this next beautiful season to be here to stay.

Frame This Moment

A road trip to Atlanta and a day spent with Dad.

Dad had a layover in Atlanta the day before Thanksgiving break, and I hopped in my car after class and took a spontaneous trip to Peach Tree City. We ate some good Mexican food, did some sight-seeing, and topped the night off with some TCBY. It was a fun day and a moment to frame.

Frame This Moment

Simple joys of being home in the fall.

One of my favorite places to be is home in the fall. Kentucky has a way of making every season beautiful and that is true especially in fall. Sitting back by the fire with golden and auburn leaves surrounding you, falling from the trees, and crunching under your shoes is definitely a moment I wish I could bottle up and have forever.

Frame This Moment

One semester, many hours, 10 tabs, and 130 pages later...a completed unit.

The key assessment and huge project of second semester was to completely write a Unit from start to finish. Harper and I chose 3rd grade weather and called our unit The Winds of Change. It was fun working with Harps and we finished our unit on my birthday, which was the best gift. This feeling and moment was definitely one to frame!

Frame This Moment

Coming back to a 5th grade class full of students' hugs and sweet cards.

I had to leave my Clinical early because of a sickness and came back about a week later to say goodbye and give a few goodies. In return and completely by surprise, they showered me with sweet Get Well Soon cards. I was overwhelmed and will never forget these sweet students. Definitely a moment to frame.
